Mason is almost a year old. He has gone from a 7lbs baby to a 22.6lbs bruiser in just 11 months. He loves to rough house with Dad and he thinks it’s hilarious to gang up with Dad and bombard me. He loves to brush, or what he believes to be brushing, his teeth. His current favorite books are The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Five Little Pumpkins and Where’s My Mommy. He will make you read and re-read each of these books over and over and over and over again. If you try to introduce a new book, he will stop you in the middle and reach for one of the three previously mentioned books. Mason is climbing on toys, which has caused a few heart attacks and he has begun to entertain himself, unless he realizes he is not the center of attention. Once he notices he does not have your undivided attention, you will feel a little boy climbing up your leg. Mason loves to get into the baking pan drawer only to pull out every loud baking dish he can get his hands on and heaven forbid a doilie or a picture frame be placed on an end table.. should Mason find one of these objects sitting peacefully on a table, it is immediately taken off and put in its rightful place.. The floor. He is also waving and walking and he sure is proud of himself when he successfully strolls from location A to location B. We have such a big boy on our hands and I cannot believe that in just one more month, we will be celebrating his first birthday.
We do have a special month upon us. Nana and Bumpa are coming to visit from April 22 - 28. We are so excited to see them, not only because we haven’t seen them in awhile, but because we also get to share a couple milestones with them. Mason will be baptized on April 25, 2010 and then we will be celebrating Mason’s first birthday on April 27, 2010.
