Mason's First Easter

We all had a wonderful Easter weekend. We were surprised with Easter gifts from Nana and Bumpa on Friday afternoon. Thanks to Nana and Bumpa, Mason finally had an Easter outfit worthy of the day. Nana and Bumpa also spoiled Mason with an Easter basket full of candy, a Peter Cottontail Bunny, Here Comes Peter Cottontail book and a stuffed soccer ball. Mason loved the box that everything came in, was in awe of Peter Cottontail, laughed when the soccer ball was thrown at him and Mom ate a good portion of the Easter candy for dinner.

Saturday we celebrated Easter at our home, where the Easter bunny made a visit. Mason found some bubbles, a swim suit and pale full of tools that he can play with at the beach or in Gammy's garden.

On Sunday, we celebrated the day at Gammy's house. Gammy spoiled everyone with Easter baskets and again, Mason was showered with toys and clothes. Mason now has more clothes than Dad and I, put together.

The day brought the majority of the family to Gammy's house. Great Grandma Pankey, Uncle Lynn, Aunt Terri, Aunt Pam, Uncle Mike, Uncle Tim, Aunt Becky, Thomas, John, John Jr, Uncle Michael, April and The Wagners were all there to spend Easter together. Easter dinner was delicious, as always. Gammy, along with help from Aunt Pam and Aunt Terri, made ham, brisket, broccoli salad, scalloped potatoes, Gammy's signature layered jello, carrot cake, strawberries with angel food cake and an easter egg cake. It was a great (and very filling) day.
