21 Months

What a neat little guy, truly. He makes me smile.

The past month's highlights include:
1. Mason LOVES "Wheel of Fortune". He literally dances on the final spin, as if he knows it is the last spin of the show and should make it climactic for everyone in the room - Proves that he cares about entertaining his company.

2. Mason's commitment to Shrek. He loves the series! Mason's favorite is Shrek 4. A close runner-up is Shrek 1. He tolerates Shrek 2, until Shrek turns human, then he refuses to watch Shrek 3. Let's face it, Shrek 3 is awful! - Proves he can form his own opinion.

3. Mason's ability to perform wall pushups... Dad made Gammy do wall pushups, which Mason found intriguing and now mimics - Proves that he enjoys exercise.

4. Mason's speech. He now says, "Read" when he wants you to read a book, his current favorite book is "In the Search for the Zipperumpa Zoo". He also says "yellow" when he is showing you the color yellow - Proves he has intellect.

5. Mason's super speed stair (backward) slide - Proves Mason has secret skills.

6. Mason's ability to abide by and play "Ready, Set.... GO!" - Proves that he can contain his excitement and demonstrate patience.

7. Mason's ability to drop an object down the shower drain (dad's razor) when a parent's supervision is distracted - Proves he has a disobedient side.

8. Mason's excellence in catching contagious daycare diseases and passing it to every member of the household - Proves that he will build super-human immunity.

9. Mason's ability to switch out XBOX CDs (unsolicited and while Dad is playing) - Proves he has an ornery side.

10. Mason loves to cuddle up to me whenever he sleeps - Proves that he can be close to others.

11. Mason hugs his Teddy Bear that his Great Grandma Pankey gave him - Proves he can show emotion.

And my favorite...

12) Mason dances. He'll dance when you sing "Ring around the Rosey". He'll dance to his toy lion that plays music when you push his nose. He'll dance when his crayola drawing pad plays music to the speed of his drawing movement... When the music stops, he finds a reason to dance - Proves he has perserverance.
