Oh boy... or girl!

My Mother's long-held wish has come true. She will not only welcome a granddaughter in October, but her many "I hope you have a daughter who acts EXACTLY like you" wishes/curses may, truly, have been unleashed upon me.

Guess the ole "That's never going to happen because I'm never having kids" comeback was not enough to break that curse.
