Mason is counting to ten. He has been doing this for a couple weeks now and he is always so excited when we cheer for him once he gets to ten. So much so, that he tries to cheat. So, when you hear him say "1, 2... 9, 10", you know he is just trying to get a quick cheer.
As if I wasn't already impressed by his counting ability, I recently re-introduced some foam numbers for Mason to work with. We got home from work (and daycare) on Monday and Mason was playing with the numbers. He brought me a number and said "five". I looked at the number that he gave me and it was a five. I thought it was a coincidence, so I took him back over to the numbers. He picked up the four and said "four". I, then, picked up the eight and he just looked at me. I let him know that it was an eight and sure enough, he now can identify the eight.
I'm truly enjoying watching Mason's progress. It seems he gains a new skill every day.
