Isabel is 9 Months!

Isabel is 9 months! Time is going by so fast. Isabel is already pulling herself up to stand by using anything that she can get her little hands on. She loves to pull herself up using her crib, only to tear down her mobile. She loves to pull herself up on the entertainment unit, only to beat on the DVD player. She loves to pull herself up using her brother's train table, only to grab her brother's train track to gnaw on.

She was seen pulling herself up on the couch the other day, letting go and actually taking a successful step before catching herself using the couch. She then thought she was hot stuff and let go of the couch again, thinking she could walk without help and she fell... maybe next time.

Isabel has regressed on her sleeping. We think she is teething. The past few nights, it has been up and down all night. I sure do hope that subsides and she breaks some teeth.

Isabel travels so well in the car and she is so good in public places. When she was a newborn, she would scream whenever we were at a stop. It was awful and I hated to take her anywhere for f she would get upset. Now, she seems to enjoy riding in the car and likes traveling to new places. She loves to go shopping! I say that because she has yet to complain when we are out spending money on ourselves. I look forward to having Isabel as my shopping buddy.

Isabel is a good eater. She is a snacker and loves ice cream. I keep telling her that she is the only person that I will share my ice cream with. I am about to stop, however, because she will eat my entire drumstick if I let her.

Isabel is fascinated by her brother and loves to play with him (if he will let her). Sometimes Mason will fall on the ground and say "get him!", which is an indication that he will allow Isabel to crawl up on him and pull his hair. Any other time that Isabel gets close to him and grabs his hair, he gets very upset. Isabel is learning the game, though. Lately, Mason yells "get him!" and Isabel ignores him. She then waits for him to do something else and then she will crawl over and pull his hair. Sibling rivalry begins.

Isabel is blowing raspberries and babbling. Last weekend I swear I heard a "ma-ma-ma-ma". So, I thought I would work with her and make her the youngest talker in the world. I said "Isabel... say mama.. mama.. mmmmm....aaaaa... mama. mama!" Her response "dada". Matt laughed and yelled "YA!". I gave up.

We love you Isabel. I cannot tell you how much of a joy you are.
