Quote of the day

Both Mason and Isabel were having issues sleeping. So around 2:30 am I decided to bring both of them to bed with me. I was desperate to get all of us back to sleep. This is the most difficult of nights because this is when you are trying to get the same result (going to sleep), on two different children, that require two different reactions, at the same time.

On one hand I have one child that is being broken from peeing in his sleep screaming for milk and on the other hand I have another child who is too young to be potty trained and can only be put to sleep by milk.

So Mason is screaming for milk.  I tell him "How about you go to sleep now and when you wake up I will give you milk." Seven times out of ten, this works; however, this was proven to be ineffective when he heard me react the opposite way with his sister. I asked her "Do you want some milk to go back to sleep?  Ok, I'll get some for you."

As I'm getting up out of bed, Mason responded with "Me too, Mom."
