Favorite Things

Today was a busy and fun day for Mason. Mason had a field trip so we were able to spend the day together. We took the school bus to Clemyjontri Park with his class. It is a wonderful park for kids and all the kids had a blast.

Mason was able to play with his friends and play on so much equipment... He flew on airplanes, conducted trains, walked balance beams, ran over bridges, slid on slides, toured the galaxy, climbed mountains, rotated the earth, and drove a fire engine.

My favorite part of the day was when were able to eat our packed lunch together. We were able to finally calm down, eat, talk, and I really enjoyed our time together. Then... he was off and running again with his friend, Brian.

This evening we went to pick up Isabel from her daycare. We drove over railroad tracks and looked for trains but none were to be seen. Once we got to Isabel's daycare he was able to play with more trucks, toys, and slides.

After that we went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. By the time we were done both Mason and Isabel were hungry. Mason wanted a hamburger. I figured since he had such a good day, we might as well keep it going. I stopped at Wendy's and we each got a hamburger.

We got home and Dad was waiting to wrestle around. All giggles and he could not get enough. Bedtime came and Matt read to both of the kids. As I finally put the kids to bed I asked Mason "what was your favorite part of today?"

"Eating a hamburger."
