Mason will be 16 months on August 27, 2010... 16 months! 16 months filled with countless milestones, EXCEPT sleeping through the night. Apparently, he sleeps soundly for Gammy; however, until I see it (and enjoy it), I don't believe it!
Last night, August 23, 2010, marked a huge milestone for me. Mason slept through the entire night. He went to bed at 8pm, woke up at 7am and instead of crying for me to come get him, he played in his crib until I decided to get up and join him in his room. It didn't just end there! Mason brushed his teeth and got dressed without any struggle. THEN before I left for work, he gave me a hug AND a kiss! This kid has stopped giving kisses for weeks and he finally broke them out the morning after he slept for 11 hours straight. I can't help but think he is acknowledging all of my sleepless nights.... but then that tells me he is calculated with an agenda. Maybe it's better that it is a coincidence.
Regardless, thank you for the sleep and I pray for a repeat performance.
