Mason experienced his first earthquake on August 23, 2011, at 1:50pm. He was in daycare at the time. Apparently, the earthquake woke the children from their naps. Once things calmed down, the teachers took the children outside where they remained until all parents could pick them up.
The earthquake allowed Mason and myself to spend the afternoon together. So it wasn't all that bad.
