Isabel loves to bounce and is more easily calmed if you bounce and pat her bottom. I had forgotten how much you carry around a newborn. I was quickly reminded as my upper back became fatigued this month and it reminded me of how my back felt when Mason was a newborn. We ended up buying a little chair that vibrates and bounces her, which has given my back a bit of a break.
Isabel is becoming a wonderful sleeper. She is sleeping soundly for most of the day now and is sleeping 3-4 hours at a time during the night. Most importantly, she sleeps wonderfully by herself in her crib. I am so thankful that she has taken to sleep.
Isabel is smiling more and more and loves to look at you. Just this morning, she and her dad were lying in bed. Matt was laying on his back with his knees up and Matt had her lying on his legs. They were looking at one another. I walked up to the right of them and she casually looked over at me and smiled. It was so funny.
We are looking forward to more firsts in the upcoming months.
