Isabel is 3 Months

Isabel is three months! She is such a sweet baby. She really only cries when she is hungry, wants to walk or be left alone or Gammy calls her "princess poo poo". She is a gassy little girl, which is pretty funny as we tell her little girls aren't supposed to be gassy. Although, it always does bring a good laugh from anyone within hearing distance and an "excuse you" from Mason.

Isabel is smiling more and is cooing. She smiles whenever she hears "pretty girl" or she sees Gammy. She also giggles when you change her shirt. I absolutely love her giggle. There is just something so special about a baby's giggle and I look forward to hearing it every evening when I put on her pajamas.

Isabel is a great sleeper. She is almost sleeping through the night. She now goes to bed at 8pm. She will sometimes wake up at midnight for a feeding. She always wakes up at 4am for a feeding and then sleeps until 6am or 7am. She is a dream compared to her brother who still does not sleep through the night. Maybe Isabel can teach Mason how to sleep.

Isabel has found her hands and has been trying to grab things. She does not have control yet, so she just kind of swipes, but it is so neat to see her start to recognize that she does have some control of her body.

Isabel also loves to lay on the floor. She will lay there for quite awhile. That is if her brother is not running back and forth. He tends to get a bit too close to her, which I think is intentional. Having said that, the sibling rivalry continues. Mason has said "Isabel" and he has shown some sign of affection... You ask him to give her a kiss and he gives a light head bump. I guess it's a start. She doesn't really acknowledge him, either, though. I thought that maybe it was just because she was so young, but she loved to look at her cousin, Siena. She was captivated by Siena. I do believe she will be following Siena around next year.

We look forward to the coming month. More firsts!
