She is at such a fun age. She is sweet, lovable, and so fun to watch. She is filled with such innocent curiousity and it is such a joy to experience with her. One of my favorite things that she does is sit alone. Particularly, when her brother is wandering about. As soon as he approaches, she gets excited, sits straight up and falls backwards. It is hilarious. Another one of my favorites is when she hears one of our local anti-pollution campaign commercials on the television. The commercial features a baby coughing throughout Washington D.C. Once she hears the baby coughing she starts looking around the room frantically for the invading baby.
Isabel has found a few favorites of her own. She loves to be outside. She and Gammy go outside everyday to rake up leaves or go on long walks. She just talks, laughs and enjoys the time. Another favorite is getting in her jumper. She jumps and stands, all the while smiling. The jumper has a mirror on it, which she has found. Once she finds it, you will see her face smashed against it just looking at the beautiful baby in the reflection. She also loves sweets, like her mother, Gammy and Nana. Granted, she has never shown a dislike to any food we have introduced (bananas, berries, rice cereal and sweet potatos) but she definitely shows a true happiness when you throw a chocoloate chip cookie into the mix. She does the same thing when a bottle is placed in front of her.You put one of those two things in front of her and she attacks it. You would think we starve her the way she goes after them. I foresee us going out for dessert in our future.
Isabel is also mesmorized by her brother. She watches him so closely, yet he ignores her. Quite opposites. Gammy is convinced that once she is mobile, she will give Mason a run for his money. It is actually quite funny to watch because if Mason does get within arm's reach, she will grab his hair and yank it. She has realized that hair is one thing that she can quickly grab hold of. She loves to pull hair. When she does it, I just tell her she is mean and she laughs.
I have to say that this has been my favorite month so far. I truly treasure every moment and cannot get enough of my little girl.
