Isabel is 7 months! She has such a sweet temperament and is such a joy to be around.
Isabel loves being around her brother. She is captivated by everything he does. Recently, Mason has started including Isabel in his play. He even shared one of his cars with Isabel. Now, THAT'S a big deal. The have started laughing together and it is so great to see them goofing around together.
Isabel has been quite an active baby this month. She's rolling all over the place... front to back and back to front. She really starts rolling when Gammy is working out on the crosstrainer. I'm convinced she is trying to get her exercise in, as well. She is also on the verge of crawling. She is getting on all fours and rocking back and forth. She scoots backwards pretty well. We are trying to show her how to move forward, but I am certain she will figure that out herself. I believe she will be crawling within the next couple of weeks. Time to put up the gates.
A few of my favorites... giggling with her brother, aqueeling like a cat and her ankle rolling. She absolutely loves when we chase Mason around the house. Her laugh is so sweet to hear. She also has this cat-like sound when she is playing and happy, which I shall attach a video that captures it perfectly. She also rolls her ankles when she is sitting on a lap or whenever her feet are off the ground. It's almost like she is warming up to go on a run. Soon enough, I am sure. Oh, and I cannot forget that she has also been heard babbling "ma ma ma ma". Promising!
She is eating well. She still loves bananas and berries. She likes macaroni and cheese, as well as, apples and chicken. She still gets up around 2 - 3 a.m. to eat; however, I have been noticing if I just put the pacifier back in her mouth, she goes back to sleep without eating. Maybe it is time to cut out the middle of the night feeding.
Isabel had her monthly Pediatrician's appointment. She was 17 lbs, 9,6 ounches and was 27 inches long, which put her in the 70th percentile in weight and 75the percentile in height. She is getting big way too fast. She definitely showed her size when she met her cousin, Chloe Madison who is 3 months younger. Isabel went on her first flight to Colorado to make the meeting. She was intrigued by Chloe and kept trying to grab her hair. I look forward to seeing them grow together.
While we were in Colorado, Isabel also got to meet her Great Grandparents - Great Grandmother Pankey, Great Grandfather Ard and Great Grandfather Saucedo. She also got to see her Papa Saucedo, Great Uncle Tim, Great Aunt Becky, Great Uncle Lynn, Great Aunt Teri, second cousin Tanner, his wife Janine and daughter Gaige, Uncle Jeffro and Auntie Jeanenne. We miss everyone and look forward to seeing them again soon.
It was a great month and we are excited to what this next month will bring.
