Earllier this week I woke Mason up for school but he was more tired than usual. I got him dressed and played around a bit hoping to get him ready for the day but he still did not want to get out of bed. He asked for some milk, which he typically only does when he wants to go to sleep. I agreed to get him milk and left to room to prepare it. As I was warming his milk I contemplated keeping him home with Gammy.
I walked back into the room with milk, in hand, and Mason was still lying in bed. I gave him the milk and he immediately started drinking from his sippy cup. I asked Mason "Do you want to go to school or stay home with Gammy?" He did not answer and continued to drink from his sippy cup. I asked him again, "Mason, do you want to go to school or stay home with Gammy?" He took his sippy cup out of his mouth as if he was actually going to answer my question. I actually got a bit excited to hear that he had an opinion. He sat there with drink in hand, looked at me very seriously and said....
"The shark swims."
To school he went.
