We flew into Boston on December 23rd, where we were welcomed by our dear friend, Paula. Paula met us at the airport for lunch and it was so great to see her. I wish we could see each other more often and am so grateful that she took time to come see us.
After lunch, we drove to Cape Cod and met Nana and Bumpa. We stayed in a lovely home that was decorated Cape Cod style. Even our tree was decorated for the occasion and fit our location.. sea shell Christmas tree decorations!
Christmas Eve morning was relaxing... Donuts, coffee, relaxation... We then got ready for Church and a Christmas party. Mason, Marina and Siena were the hits of the party. They were dancing machines! Mason even got his Nonie to dance with him. What an event! Delicious food, wonderful company. What a memorable Christmas Eve.
Christmas dinner was delicious! Auntie Joanne made a homemade Italian Christmas dinner. I truly cannot get it out of my head! Every Italian dish you can imagine. As Italian is my favorite, I could not get enough and Mason enjoyed right along with us. Mason even tasted real whipped cream and he loved it! He started crying when the spoon was licked clean.
We received an incredible amount of snow the day after Christmas. Enough to result in canceled flights. Because our flights were canceled we were allowed to enjoy a couple more days in Cape Cod. It was relaxing and Mason was able to spend more time with his cousins, aunt, uncle, Nana and Bumpa. We were very thankful.
Because we had a coule extra days, we were able to enjoy a lovely dinner at Auntie Joanne's country club. We had the entire place to ourselves, thanks to the blizzard. We also had a family lobster night. I believe this was a teaser to our trip to Maine this summer, which we cannot wait until August.
We miss our family and cannot wait to spend more time with everyone. Until next time...
