2 Year Wellness Check

Mason had his 2 Year Wellness Check today. He weighed 31 pounds, 13 ounces (88th percentile) and he measured 35 and a half inches (75th percentile).

Mason is a healthy boy and is developing on schedule. He already has his two year molars, so I guess his recent drooling has nothing to do with cutting teeth. We will have to figure that one out.... He's also quite advanced on his gross motor skills, but his speech is a little delayed. The doctor stated that children focus on one thing at a time and Mason has chosen his gross motor skills. I hope that with him attending full time daycare, that his speech will develop a little more rapidly. I'm not really worried about it. Afterall, he was trying to sing Happy Birthday this morning. It came out 'day to you... day to you.' I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There were no vaccinations today, which was a very nice surprise. I was gearing up for that all weekend. So, it was a nice relief to know he would not have to have any shots today. His next wellness check will be when he turns 3.
